Mixed reactions from my family about the mocha. Very salty and the Cumin is a bit overpowering according to my wife. I agree with the Saltiness but not much different to SaltLick BBQ Rub not great on my chicken Wings but went down a storm on this weeked’s Brisket where the Saltiness helped in the tenderisation process prior to cooking.
First came across this rub at an excellent Trager Demo at Riverside with Marcus Bawdon who had just launched his 2 rubs. This is a lovely deep flavoured rub with hints of coffee, chocolate and fennel, works well with red meats, gamier flavours but also versatile to be used on lighter foods, just use less rub.
