“Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face, Great chieftain o' the pudding-race!”
Join us on Burns Night (Saturday 25th January 2020) for a celebration of Scottish food and drink, with a carefully crafted menu and a beautiful selection of fine Scotch whiskies.
Upon arrival, you will receive an Ancient Tartan cocktail (think a Scotch Old Fashioned) to enjoy with delicious hot and cold canapés as you settle down in our fully heated and covered demonstration area to await the delights to come. Once the cocktails and canapés are finished, you will be presented with five Scotch whiskies to taste, with the guidance of our tasting master, Freddie Lawrence, who is both a whisky enthusiast and expert, with many years’ experience in the drinks industry. Expect a range of whiskies to suit every palate, from all over mainland Scotland and the islands, and learn how to taste, what to look for and the provenance of our pick of Scotches.
After you have enjoyed the whisky tasting, you will remain at your tables for a hearty supper of haggis, neeps and tatties with a whisky cream sauce and a rich lamb jus, followed by cranachan, served with the optional extra of a dram of your favourite whisky of the evening. We have a well-stocked, fully-licensed bar for you to purchase beer, wine or spirits to accompany your dinner.
We are strictly limited to 25 tickets for this event, so book now to avoid disappointment!
Please arrive at 6:30pm for cocktails and canapés from 6:45pm.
Please note: the seating arrangement is for five tables of five so we cannot guarantee that groups will all be able to be seated together, but we will endeavour to do so where possible. We also welcome solo whisky lovers for those wishing to book a single ticket.
Unfortunately due to expected high demand, once purchased we aren't able to do ticket refunds or exchanges within 30 days of the event. However, you can transfer your ticket to a friend or family member. All you need to do is call us or send an email with your order number and the name of the person who will be taking your place.
100% of the proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research UK specifically into rare cancer research.

In March 2019, our #AbsolutelyFantastic Russell Jeffery sadly passed away from cancer. Russell was the founder, owner and heart and soul of Riverside and, along with his wife Jo and dedicated team, has been the driving force to build it into what it is today.
We know that many of you love Russell's famous YouTube videos and received so much advice from him over the years, whether in-store, over the phone or through Riverside’s YouTube channel, and we will be documenting some of our training so that you can keep up with our preparation.
In August 2020, a few of us from Riverside will be taking part in a challenging three-day trek over the volcanic terrain of southern Iceland to help raise money. In the lead up, we will be running various events to raise money for Cancer Research.
Help us reach our target, and do something #AbsolutelyFantastic for Cancer Research UK
