- Additional Information
I bought this barbecue as a 'special birthday' gift. I have not used it personally, but the recipient is delighted and got cooking straight away! I am very pleased with this product.
The bbq was one we used at a property we rented this summer. We were very impressed with it - easy of use, taste of food produced, maintenance of bbq - so we decided to buy one for our own use. It was not easy to put the bbq together - we did not feel the instructions were always correct and the YouTube showing how to complete it were not always clear in its steps. We have not yet used ours but do not anticipate any problems?!
A very well designed, well made, and functional high quality BBQ. I wish I had purchased one years ago.
I absolutely love this BBQ definitely worth the money.
Great product as always by weber. Lots of accessories also to increase what you can do with this
Easy to put together, made from quality material and cooks well. The design allows you to cook using different techniques. Well worth the investment with such quality components it will last for years and become one of the family.
All the features you could possibly want.
Awesome colour, the quality is first class. I hope this one lasts me another 15 years. I couldn't be happier with it.
Wonderful bbq at a very good price
Well-made product, easy to put together and easy to use.
As you would expect from a Weber product, it’s very well made. This is the second Weber BBQ I’ve owned, the other was a bit small when cooking for the whole family so upgraded to a 57cm. Lots of cooking area on this model. I particularly like the removable centre of the grill so you can insert a griddle etc. I also think that the charcoal baskets are a very good feature which allow you to easily switch between direct and indirect cooking.
I finally had to get rid of my old Weber Kettle after many years. This Master Touch model is very good indeed - still all the basic Weber design and quality, but with lots of added improvements.
Haven't had a chance to use it yet so can't say a lot except.......... the quality appears as good as my old Weber which I've had for about 25 years or more.
Got it to give as a present for xmas
We have used this twice now and it cooks like a dream. The temperature gauge on the outside is very useful and the design that allows food to be moved away from the hottest areas is useful to avoid charring the food. The ash collection bin underneath makes it so easy to clean as well. We love it.
Looks over powering when first assembled which was easy to do (I'm 72years) but is very user friendly with it's top and bottom vent control. I have cooked shoulder of pork with roast potatoes in a pan under it, great crackling, bear can chicken with a rub on it, and various other cuts of meat. All the latter came out well using the indirect cooking method, (see u-tube), lots better than the burnt offerings that one usually associates with my amateur BBQ'ing. All in all, wish I had bought it many years ago, 10 out of 10.
I have previously owned a classic Weber which lasted 20 years. I've now treated myself to a new Master Touch which is solidly constructed and I hope will last me many years. I've used it twice and am delighted with all of the helpful features.
This is a fantastic piece of kit. I've had various BBQs over the years and I've never really had a great deal of success. I got this as we're having a bit of a do in a few weeks so I thought I'd invest a few quid in something decent. The first thing to mention is that the build quality is excellent. I looked at a few BBQs in Homebase first. Lots have some great features but they're all built from something akin to the material that biscuit tins are made from. The Weber is really sturdy. I also bought a chimney starter and this is something I would recommend to anyone. No more using 4 gallons of fluid or half a ton of lighter blocks to get something that gets up to the temperature of the sun for 5 minutes and then cools down within about 10 minutes leaving you with half cooked food. I just filled the chimney, let a couple of firelighters and it was ready to cook within 20 minutes. So, first tryout and I went for a beer can roasted chicken. 90 minutes later and I had a perfectly cooked chicken that was absolutely delicious. Second go, I went for a slow cooked shoulder of pork and used the fuse burn method. This was astounding. It maintained a temperature of between about 135 and 150 degrees for 5 hours and even then only used 2/3 of the briquettes which went round just over half the BBQ. I put a tray of boiling water under the joint and used what was collected in that to make gravy. I also used 2 decent sized chunks of wood on top of the coals to get some smoke. The results were amazing. The pork tasted incredible and even the gravy has a delicious smokey flavour to it. I got a good deal on my BBQ and that included the griddle plate for the centre of the grill. Tonight, I'm going to fire it up and try doing some salmon fillets on there. I'm confident that the results will be spot on. Next on the list is to get the iGrill3 and a couple of other necessary gadgets to go with it. Cleaning it out after is also really quick and easy. I just let it cool down and then brush all the ash through the bottom vents into the container with a dust pan brush. Seriously, if you're at the stage where you're going to give up BBQs forever then blow a few hundred quid and get one of these with some accessories. I now see my BBQ as a proper alternative to the oven in the kitchen rather than a tin box that turns expensive Cumberland sausages into blunt instruments capable of being used as deadly weapons.
Quick Delivery, hassle free, minimal packaging, free griddle pan - couldn't be happier
Excellent design, good size but still light and easy to manoeuvre
My first ever BBQ. Bought my first house recently and decided it was time to invest in a BBQ, I'm a big believer in buying right first time and that by doing so, saving long term expense & hassle. I watched plenty of reviews of BBQ's but the master touch fitted what I wanted perfectly. It's a proper cool looking bit of kit, it's iconic shape is what you imagine a BBQ to look like and it's a thing of beauty sat in the sunshine in your garden. It's also a great size and the grill surface area is huge. Lid holder is helpful & acts as a wind blocker. I've only used it twice, second time with the weber chimney starter & briquettes and they push it up to another level. Takes away the time and stress of getting the coals white hot and edges you closer to the convienience of gas without losing the experience of coal. My only criticism is the overall strength and sturdiness of it, the legs flex quite a bit when moving it and aren't as solid as you'd expect for a BBQ of this price. The wheels are also poor quality and wobble when wheeling it around. It's still perfectly fit for purpose and I'm confident it's not going to fall to bits, but just for the sake of quality and 'feel' it would be nice if these aspects were improved. Another issue was the colour, in all of the sales pictures the crimson looks quite glossy and when it arrived it looked darker and more of a satin finish, worth bearing in mind if you choose this colour. Ive gotten used to it and really like it now, but it did surprise me when I unboxed it.
Brilliant and very versatile. I am going to order the Rotisserie attachment next.
Self assembly instructions were not too bad to follow! Once up and running it worked like a treat.
Great product. Extremely well made and love the colour.
The new Weber is a much better designed item than its predecessor. We should have bitten the bullet earlier, in retrospect.
Easy to assemble and very sturdy, have already had a few trouble-free cooks out of it and looking forward to many more once I've got to know it a bit better.
