Weber summit for my sons 30 th. He is over the moon with it.
Still awaiting some kind weather.we are still waterlogged!
Not cheap, but boy this can cook, in a repeatable way! Enormous rack, keeps the heat for hours, easy to clean. Doesn't fit through a doorway lol
Excellent bbq although expensive! Even higher than usual Weber quality. Easy to control for low and slow and indirect cooking. Weber instructions for indirect cooking make a simple process more painstaking so I ignored them. I just filled the charcoal baskets and controled the temperature with the vents. I have a Big Green Egg, Weber smokers, and Weber gas and charcoal grills. Looks like I’ll be selling my BGE! The Charcoal Summit does everything but rotisserie.
This grill is unbelievable the quality is second to none the performance is even better I smoked for 5.5hrs on it and it had hours left in it. Best grill for the money and best grill when put up against it’s competitors.
After seriously researching the komodo style BBQ / cookers on the market (and I mean seriously...) I decided that I'd buy the Weber Summit Charcoal due to it's great reviews and superb Weber reputation. It arrived on a small pallet, and did take me a couple of hours to install it (the legs went on 3 times the wrong way!!) but when it was all put together, this little Sputnik of a machine oozed BBQ sex appeal. First cook was pizzas (kept the kids happy) and since then I've baked my own burger buns, slow cooked ribs for 8 hours and flipped just about every kind of meat on it. Great thing is - not a single bit of buyers remorse. It's an awful lot of money, but if you don't want 15 different cookers on your "yard" like our friends over the pond seem to take delight in, it really is the bees knees. Really happy I pushed the button on it, and I can't wait to explore more great recipes over the coming summer months.
