The SmokeFire is Weber's first electric pellet grill, designed to infuse your cooks with the delicious and subtle flavours of wood smoke, and sear food for delicious caramelisation.

Weber's wood pellets are available in six delicious flavours to suit all your cooking needs. They are FSC® certified, carbon neutral, and are 100% wood with no fillers. When cooking on your SmokeFire, you should only use Weber pellets for the best results and to protect against auger jams.

Choosing your pellet flavour

Some wood pellet flavours will come produce stronger flavours than others, and therefore will be better suited to certain types of cooks. Weber's oak pellets offer a strong and robust flavour that will pair best with richer meats such as beef, game, and lamb.

If you're looking for the perfect all-rounder, Weber's Grill Academy blend offers a mix of cherry, maple, and beech that results in a delicious medium-strength flavour that pairs amazingly with all kinds of food, from beef and poultry to seafood and baked goods.

Beech and alder pellets both offer a similar medium-strength flavour that pairs best with poultry, fish, seafood, and vegetables. The flavour of beech leans a little more nutty, whereas alder produces a more fruity flavour.

Of the fruit woods, cherry pellets offer a medium-strength sweet flavour that pairs well with lighter meats like poultry, pork, and seafood, but can also hold up against beef, lamb, and game, and compliments their richer flavours beautifully. Apple is the most mild flavour of the wood pellets that Weber currently offer. It will bring a subtle fruity flavour to your cooks that best compliments poultry, pork, vegetables, and baked goods.

Using and storing Weber pellets

Weber's pellets come in 8kg easy-pour boxes and the SmokeFire has a hopper capacity of 10kg. Store your pellets somewhere dry when not in use to ensure that they do not disintegrate or expand, which could lead to a jam in the auger.

One 8kg box of pellets will burn for anywhere from sixteen hours on low and slow to four hours at the top end of the grill's temperature range.

Store excess pellet's in Weber's weather-resistant pellet storage bag. This storage bag will keep up to 9kg of pellets dry and when closed forms a handle that makes the pellets easy to carry to refill your SmokeFire.
